The artist

Born in São Paulo, in 1985, Rafa Kpaz moved with his family to the city of Angra dos Reis (State of Rio de Janeiro) in 1987, where he lived until he was 18. In 2003, Rafa Kpaz went to live in the city of Rio de Janeiro, having graduated in Law, and remained there until 2020, when he chose to return to São Paulo since then.

He participated in several drawing and painting courses, including at the School of Visual Arts in Rio de Janeiro, Parque Lage. Rafa Kpaz's works could be described as ambiguous and conflicting, as they carry with them, concomitantly, the rigidity of a trained lawyer and the flexibility of an extremely dreamy person. His works bring out the contradiction and complexity of a colorist artist affected by color blindness.

The art proposed by Rafa Kpaz is linked to the more traditional pictorial field and, at the same time, to the experimentation of emotions brought by colors.
